Why I'm Never Using a Smartphone Again

It's been almost half a year now since I gave up my smartphone. I realized this device consumed half of my life. I'm seeing the world differently now. I think I'm still healing. It completely fixed my sleeping problem. My social media addiction is gone. My migraine has reduced almost 90%. My productivity increased a lot. I made some progress with my projects. I read some books. I'm also thinking more deeply these days.

Of course there are many cons of not using a smartphone, like not being able to use bank apps and IoT devices but it's still worth it. Also, I'm fine with not receiving annoying message notifications that trigger my migraine. I don't have anything good to say about this technology. It's basically a slot machine for dopamine rush. You open Instagram, scroll for 4 hours then fall into sleep. You wake up in the morning, pick up your phone and scroll for another 2 hours on Twitter, then you feel tired.

So I tell people, just fuck this technology. Throw away your smartphone if you want to make your life better. If you have a hammer, go grab it and destroy your smartphone. Get a nice flip phone.
